Vision statements communicate two ideas:
- Who we are today, and
- Who we aspire to increasingly become.
Ideally, they are one and the same, but human nature dictates a never-ending pursuit of a high calling.
“Vision” was injected into Vision Financial’s company name to communicate several ideas. Here are a few…
- Beginning with the end in mind, looking ahead in order to identify risk and opportunity along the way.
- Keeping an eye on the factors impacting progress toward client goals, so as to make timely course corrections.
- Painting a picture clients can see of what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and where it can lead them.
- Mapping out for investors a birds-eye view of how today’s decisions can spawn tomorrow’s dreams.
The Vision Financial vision statement was not crafted in an ivory tower by disconnected executives, but by the very team that manages your money, coaches your decision-making, and administers the help you need on a regular basis. The advisors and support staff collaborated to carefully choose the words and ideas that best fit who we are, and who we are increasingly becoming.
Each word in the vision statement means something to the VFAC team, and to the clients we serve.
Trusted—We earn trust by demonstrating integrity over and over again. We value our own character above any other goal.
Teachers—We don’t sell. We educate investors with substantive and actionable content … using pace and methods that ensure you are learning.
Stewards—We don’t own the assets we manage. We are caretakers of your dollars, and the dreams those dollars represent.
Serving—We call customer service “client primacy,” shaping our calendars, communication, and analysis to truly put first those who hire us.
Coaching—We inspire you to do today what you will later wish you had done, anticipating your challenges and discovering solutions to reach your goals.
Clients—Our clients are at the center of our vision statement, and our work. Without them, there is no business.
Toward—The effort is not aimless. It is focused and goal-oriented. We help clients remain resolute, resisting distraction and avoiding pitfalls.
Their—The focus is on the client goals; other goals are immaterial. We continually review your goals to sharpen that focus.
Financial—We know our limits. We can connect you with other professionals for your non-financial service needs.
Decisions—We aim to make the complicated simple, so you know what you’re doing, and why.
Dreams—Cherished ideals are unique to each client. Our dream is to see your dreams realized.
We look forward to working with you so that you can experience this vision statement play out in your advisor-client relationship.
